Q. After an initial design consultation, how does the process work in creating a Roundhouse kitchen?
Once we have taken an initial brief from the client we would hope to produce plans and elevations and a detailed quote. Reflecting everything discussed in the design consultation with suggested ideas to capture the look and feel the clients are after.
Q. How would you describe the Roundhouse aesthetic?
We offer two distinctive styles of cabinetry. Classic ‘In Framed’ and ‘Lay on Handleless’ furniture. We have the ability to mix colours, textures and finishes, producing pieces of furniture that are contemporary and provide warmth.
Q. Tell us more about your factory in Worcestershire
Set beneath the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, our factory is the beating heart of what we do. Growing organically, we have extended gradually to allow us more space to create.
Q. What are the key factors to consider when designing a sustainable kitchen?
We take our responsibility as a manufacturer very seriously and work hard to minimise our impact on the environment. Our environmental policy ensures we are close to being carbon neutral. All the timbers we use adhere to the highest accreditation and FSC standards. We support the Woodland Trust and through their tree planting scheme, give back for tomorrow what is taken today.
Q. How do you work with architects on private residential projects?
Creating kitchens to sit harmoniously within the space is incredibly important and we work very closely with architects such as RHA and interior designers to help bring ideas to life.
Q. How do you keep ahead of the curve in the latest innovations and trends in kitchen design?
We are committed to continuing to improve our product and processes, keeping us ahead of the curve with the latest innovations in contemporary kitchens. With our own Research & Development team we are regularly developing new collections, styles and finishes. Our dedication and passion for design means we are continually striving to find new and innovative ways to create beautiful kitchens and furniture that will look as good tomorrow as they do today.
