Cultural buildings and spaces are of the present and for the future.

We avoid adopting a singular aesthetic in order to enable diversity and flexibility. Our buildings offer transformative experiences: by allowing a tantalising glimpse of what lies beyond or above they act as a stimulant for the individual visitor’s sense of discovery and enjoyment.

Buildings that evolve from their surroundings have a lighter touch. They should encourage spectators and users to find their own path and make their own unique journey of discovery, through a space or around a structure that adapts to them instead of the other way around.

If we’re creating a site-specific artwork for a public space, we seek to balance both subjective and aesthetic responses to reflect a time, purpose, and the identity of the space. It’s always a collaborative endeavour, and we work with artists and communities to realise what is ultimately a cultural expression of humanity.
